About us

History

Infraventus Group was set up in 2008, by Afonso Proença after the sale of Enersis Group assets. Since then, Infraventus has dedicated its activity to developing renewable energy projects through co-investment on assets with individual investors.

During its period of activity, the Group has already developed projects in the Iberian,  Australian, South African and more recently in the Finnish and Panamanian markets.

Nowadays the Group is focused on the development of solar projects in Portugal, in its projects in Finland and Panama and in levering its skills and services in new business opportunities.

Infraventus was founded and acquired from Enersis Group portfolio Fund Manager the wind projects under development, small scale hydro power plants and the name “Enersis”, in a co-investment with some individual investors.

Financing in Project Finance Toutiço, Portugal wind project- 102 MW.

2009

2009

Construction, commissioning and start-up of a single 102 MW wind farm project in Portugal.

Financing and beginning of the construction of Lomba do Vale, Portugal wind farm project – 21 MW.

Infraventus enters the Australian, Polish and South-African markets.

2010

Expansion of its services portfolio – namely in investment transaction and management and risk management consultancy.

Infraventus enters the Finnish wind market.

Acquisition and refinancing of 8 MW for a solar Project operating in Spain.

Financing and beginning of construction for a 15 MW wind project – Meroicinha II, Portugal.

Grid connection secured for the first project under development in Finland.

Denham Capital, a leading global energy-focused private equity firm joined the initial sponsors Enersis Australia, National Power and Kato Capital to create OneWind Australia. With completion of transaction the development of the projects is conducted by Denham and the team assigned for OneWind Australia.

Infraventus Group acquired licenses for the development of a 2 MW solar project in Tomar and for the development of two 5 MW solar projects in Alentejo region. During the course of the year the Group started project development activities and the construction of the 2 MW solar project.

In January, the 2 MW solar project in Tomar, Portugal, started operations. The project, named Casal de Cabeços photovoltaic plant, was implemented in partnership with local companies and involved the incorporation of over 50% of national technology in its total investment.

During March, Infraventus Group sold its wind assets in Portugal, representing a total of 123MW.

In April the solar projects Helios and Resun with a total of 10MW started operation. Also, for both, a Project Finance was closed.

In November the solar project of 5MW, Eresolar, started its operation.

In June, the solar project CVilaFlor, with a total of 5MW, started its operations.

In November, at the Solar Park Casal dos Cabeços (Reflexos Púrpura), the 1 MW power increase also started its operations.

Team

An accumulated knowledge in the value chain of renewable energy projects as well as a common vision seeking to increase and enlarge that knowledge, trying to anticipate market movements and changes are the major strengths of the Group. Its 48 permanent employees, with complementary skills, form a high-potential cohesive and motivated group.
